PERFORMING ARTS SUBCOMMITTEE
Windsor has a long tradition of nurturing musical talent and developing a lifelong love of music. Our P&C’s Performing Arts Subcommittee encourages the collaboration of parents, teachers, students, and the wider school community. We help organise music concerts and events to showcase music, inspire our music students and raise funds for music department resources.
What the Performing Arts Subcommittee advocates for
Music resources fundraising
The Performing Arts Subcommittee is dedicated to helping maintain, upgrade, and increase Windsor’s musical resources. This is to ensure that the highest possible standard of music can be achieved for all children at Windsor State School through the Classroom Music Program and for those participating in the Choral and Instrumental Music Programs. The Performing Arts Subcommittee’s main fundraisers each year include the Mid-Year Concert and end of year Music Extravaganza featuring all Choral and Instrumental music ensembles, plus Sunset Club, formerly the Soiree. This is a music-inspired parent evening which showcases the amazing talent of our parent and teaching body here at Windsor State School.
We also organise smaller fundraising activities, such as Cupcake Days.
Want to help our budding musicians?
We encourage your participation (and help!) You can join our Performing Arts Subcommittee or help with organising musical events such as Sunset Club. Alternatively, you can attend events which support our students and raise funds for music at Windsor. In addition, we also gladly accept donations of much-needed music resources.
